This mute works very well on my cello. The sound quality is pleasing.
It doesn’t rattle and it doesn’t affect the sound when it isn’t on the bridge other than to provide some wolf elimination. It perfectly meets my needs.

Been playing 45+ years and this is now my favorite mute for my viola and cello. Works well sound wise, stays firmly on strings so no rattling, slides up onto bridge instantly with no fuss.
Bit of a task to get it on child’s 1/4 size cello, but successful.
The clear one seems a tiny bit more flexible than the black, both are fairly stiff, but I think I prefer the clear one.
