Superb Quality

Beautiful Color

This is a great string that provides warm, rich color that I believe is sometimes missing from the upper register of the instrument. It's also very durable (never had one break in over two years and 5 - 6 changes) and the coating gives it an anti-squeak property similar to wound e-strings, though the anti-squeak kicks in after a brief break-in period and will start to diminish as the life of the string goes away.

I've tried the other plated strings offered by Goldbrokat and missed the richness provided by the gold. The other upshot is that these are a darn good deal, especially compared to other trendy e-strings on the market. The gold finish is also a very classy but subtle look and has turned some heads.

All these make this a can't miss string for me.

Goldbrokat Premium 24K Gold E string

I tried the Goldbrokat 24K Gold E string, and I found that it was a warm soft tone. I ended up taking it off after a week, for I want more projection, and perhaps a more clear singing E. I went back to the Goldbrokat steel E string.
