Obligato Gold Violin E Strings

I put a new Obligato Gold E string on my violin on April 6th. I like the Obligato strings on my violin for their warmth. On the 25th of April I noticed it is beginning to rust. In fairness to Obligato Gold strings, I live within a thousand feet of the ocean and have had lots of trouble with rusting E strings. For years I used Peter Infeld which worked very well until the last year or two when they broke every six or eight weeks. So I switched to whatever Gold strings I could find. I am a little disappointed the Obligato string shows signs of rust after three weeks. I like its response with the other Obligato strings on my French instrument and will see how long before I need to change it.
