Thomastik Dynamo Violin Set  or Dynamo Solo Violin set

Thomastik Dynamo Violin strings combine qualities not typically found within one set. With a broad sound and exceptional response, these strings have a complex spectrum of sound colors. They work well with both old and new instruments, offering a sound that will astound both the musician and the audience.

Solo Set: With the DY01S and the DY04B, the set will sound more brilliant and colorful while projecting sound even more beautifully. The E string DY01S gives the whole set a more soloistic character. However, it leaves the sound color unchanged, as the warmth and powerful sound core of the G string DY04B supports the set’s overall warmth

Dynamo Violin Set DY100:
DY01: Multilayer-tin-plated carbon steel
DY02: Aluminum wound/synthetic core
DY03A: Silver wound/synthetic core
DY04: Silver wound/synthetic core

Dynamo Solo Violin Set DY100S:
DY01S: Tin-plated carbon steel
DY02: Aluminum wound/synthetic core
DY03A: Silver wound/synthetic core
DY04B: Silver wound/synthetic core

Finally found the perfect set of strings for my violin

I've tried quite a few strings. I was having issues with a metallic, shrill noise from my violin. I found that gut strings eliminate the noise, but they sacrifice projection and clarity. With Dynamo, I don't hear the metallic noise like I did with gut strings; however, it still maintains good projection, like other synthetic strings. It's a bit pricey, but I’ll stick with Dynamo from now on because these are the perfect strings for my violin.

Great new strings from Thomastik!

These new strings from Thomastik are fabulous! They project well on my 2015 violin without being too bright or too warm, especially the G string. They took an average amount of time to settle (about a week) and respond well to various colors. Another important note is that the E string has an easily removable ball.

Awesome strings but expensive

These are awesome strings. They sound very full and warm and projection is quite nice too. They break in quite quickly too. The only bad thing is they are very pricey. I would definitely give them a higher recommendation if it weren't for the high price.

Worth it!

I've tried a lot of strings, usually leaning towards Obligatos, Evah Pirazzi, or Perpetual and wasn't a fan of Dominants or other strings manufactured by Thomastik, but these strings made a huge difference with sound and playability on my fiddles. Responsive and well-balanced with a very pleasing tonal quality.
