Peter Infeld Violin Strings
Peter Infeld (PI) violin strings by Thomastik-Infeld are designed to provide a wide range of tonal colors while delivering excellent projection. Built on an advanced synthetic core, they offer quick response, excellent tuning stability, and are among Thomastik's most durable violin strings.
Peter Infeld violin string sets are available with either a platinum-plated E (PI100) or tin-plated E (PI101). Alternative E- and D-string options are also available.
Peter Infeld E Strings
- Tin-Plated E (PI01SN): offers the warmest sound among the Peter Infeld E strings with quick response and easy playability.
- Platinum-Plated E (PI01PT): produces a clear, focused sound and is often preferred by soloists. The platinum plating also provides excellent corrosion resistance.
- Gold-Plated E (PI01AU): offers a warm yet clear sound with good corrosion resistance. It may whistle more readily on some instruments than the tin-plated version.
Peter Infeld D Strings
- Silver-Wound D (PI03A): included with both standard Peter Infeld sets. Produces a refined, focused sound.
- Aluminum-Wound D (PI03): an alternative D string that offers a brighter, more colorful sound and works particularly well with darker-sounding instruments.
