I love the Larsen Virtuoso D string. It’s the perfect blend with my Eudoxa-Olive C, Olive G and Larsen A. I needed to solve a speaking issue on my viola with the Olive aluminum D. The Virtuoso D adds a subtle brightness, sounds totally like it belongs in the set, and is the perfect bridge between the gut strings and Larsen A. I couldn’t be happier. The only caveat is that the Olives tend to last six months, whereas I need to change the Virtuoso D every three months. That’s to be expected though with a synthetic string.
