Very textured and powerful string, with exceptional range of dynamics and color. Very flexible and responsive under the fingers. I highly recommend this string over Larsen as it lasts much longer (I have had two previous Kaplan A's lasting more than two years each with no degradation in tone, texture and color.)
I have three cellos with vastly different characteristics and this string works well with each one.
