Don't let the price tag discourage you...

I use Melos almost exclusively so I had to take advantage of Concord's sale.
I've had this PI set on my modern Chinese viola for about a month now and they seem to be taking well - brilliant and projecting overall, but smooth and very easy to change tone and dynamics.
I play in some of the local orchestras and I've been getting compliments recently from my colleagues "what did you do, your viola sounds great!"
Some even suggested it sounded like a new instrument!
I've struggled to find strings that work well and that I like. We'll see how long these last before I go looking elsewhere...very happy so far!
