The Best

I have used Spirocore Tungsten G and C strings on my cello for over forty years and every time I have tried anything else I ended up coming back to them . They are reliable, durable and provide a quality and power which is always consistent.

I've been using the WEICH tension of the C string for close to twenty years now. Much warmer than the MEDIUM version, and they break in faster –– and they sound great!

expensive but worth it

The Spiracore tungsten C and G seem to be the most reliable strings out there regarding consistency and durability. You can really play into them but they also speak easily in the softer passages. It might have to do equally as much with the cello adjustment than the strings but these are safe bet if you can afford them.
Concord makes them as affordable as they get with their Combo cello sets pricing.
