Vision Violin set VI100

We needed to replace a string on one of the violins in our house. The strings from Thomastik Violin Strings (Vision Violin set VI100) were highly recommended and we chose to order from Concord instead of purchasing from a local store after suggestions from a professional violinist. Price was cheaper than the local store and arrived earlier than expected. The strings were easy to swap out and they held their tuning remarkably well for being brand new strings. We will definitely order from Concord again.

These are the strings I keep coming back to. I've tried many other strings, even some expensive sets, but these work best on my Mittenwald Germany 1960 violin. It's a mid level violin with a bright powerful tone and most other strings either mute it or make it sound tinny. The Visions with Pirastro Gold E work perfectly. It gives my violin a warm, silky tone without sacrificing the resonance.

I have used Vision for many years, first on an Ernst Heinrich Roth (Guarneri model) back in college, and now my current instrument by Ran Dim (Chicago, USA). While many newfangled strings have come on the market, any player looking for a long-lasting, consistent, and pitch-stable string with plenty of power should not overlook the regular Vision set from Thomastik. Despite it's lower cost, it offers many of the characteristics sought by those spending $80, $90, and more on string sets, and it doesn't have some of the rapid falloff in response or "crunchy" tone that occurs with some of today's premium sets.
