I have a 1923 Hungarian violin and these strings add to the warm of the instrument while having a strong solo voice. At first I didn't like them, but tried several different rosins on the bow. The Silver II metallic rosin worked well, keeping excellent contact and drawing the sound out faithfully. I am very confident playing on these strings though I still prefer "my" Wondertone E.

Warchal Amber Violin G string

I have found the Amber G string (as well as the other strings in the Amber line, especially the Silver D) very compatible with my 18th C French violin. It has the warmth and richness of gut strings yet with great stability and response. These strings have lower tension than many other brands, which make them so responsive on my instrument. These strings last a long time, another reason I like them so much.
